How to Synchronize Time Using a TXT Document on the S3 Body Camera
Some customers have reported that it is not possible to synchronize seconds through the menu. This is correct—due to interface limitations, the menu only supports minute-level adjustments. If you need to synchronize time down to the second, you can use the following method:
- Ensure Your Firmware is Up to Date
Make sure your firmware is the latest version (XHS3-822D-20241025 or above). If it is not, please refer to the FAQ for instructions on upgrading the firmware.
- Download the Attached systime.txtFile
Download thesystime.txtfile from the provided attachment to your computer. The file content is as follows:20241122153730
This represents the date and time in the formatyyyymmddhhmmss(Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Second).
Set it to the current system time, then copy thesystime.txtfile to the root directory of the camera and restart the device. The camera will automatically synchronize its time with the content of thesystime.txtfile and delete it afterward.

Important Notes:
- If Synchronization Fails:
- Double-check your firmware version.
- Ensure that the systime.txtfile is not set to “read-only,” as the camera cannot update its time if the file is read-only.

- File Name Format:
- Keep the file name as systime.txtwithout making any changes to its format.
